Last updated: May 10, 2026
LiveSub is a local-first live caption app. This privacy policy explains how LiveSub accesses, uses, stores, and shares data.
Developer: Elacraft

App package: com.elacraft.livesub
Data LiveSub Accesses
LiveSub requests microphone access so it can capture audio and generate live captions. Microphone access is used only while recognition is active.
LiveSub may create the following data on your device:
- Live captions and session history generated from microphone audio.
- Local app settings, such as subtitle size, theme, language, and session preferences.
Local Processing
LiveSub is designed to process speech recognition locally on the device using bundled SenseVoice/SenseVoiceSmall model assets and native code. By default, microphone audio is not uploaded to LiveSub servers.
Sharing
LiveSub does not sell user data. LiveSub does not share microphone audio, captions, or logs with third parties.
Retention and Deletion
Captions, session history, and settings are stored locally on your device. You can delete sessions in the app. You can also delete all local app data using Android system settings by clearing LiveSub storage or uninstalling the app.
Security
LiveSub disables Android Auto Backup for release builds to reduce the risk of local captions or logs being copied into cloud backups. Release builds also disable cleartext HTTP traffic by default.
Children
LiveSub is not directed to children.
Changes
This policy may be updated as LiveSub changes. The latest version should be available at the privacy policy URL listed in Google Play.
